The latest Junk By Demand ups the ante with prog rockers Coheed & Cambria, who will be stopping over in Malaysia for a one-night stand this August 1st!
With our partners Rockstar Touring and LAMC Productions, Junk is bringing down the seminal progressive rock band Coheed & Cambria, who were originally slated to hit the Philippines and Singapore, the Singapore date being alongside guitar legend Slash. But you spoke out and demanded that C&C not pass you by, so you ask and now you receive with By Demand: Coheed & Cambria Live in KL!
Coheed & Cambria were formed as part of a sci-fi comic created by lead guitarist/singer Claudio Sanchez, formed around the fictional universe of the Amory Wars.  The comics were subsequently published, and each story arc has been documented in the songs of C&C as a narrative to the happenings in the comic. Their latest studio album ‘Year Of The Black Rainbow’ showcases a more focused sound while finding a balance between epic, sweeping melodies and jaw-dropping technicality.
Currently consisting of Claudio Sanchez, Travis Stever, Mic Todd, and Chris Pennie, Coheed & Cambria have garnered an impressive collection of awards, including several MTVU Woodie Awards, including the Soundtrack of My Life Woodie as well as winning best album at the Metal Hammer Awards 2006. As an testament to their heightened profile and impact on the mainstream music world, the group also were announced as the champions in the user-voted MTV Musical March Madness.

KULA SHAKER - KL LIVE 5 AUGUST 2010!!!!

Soundscape Records presents Kula Shaker, one of the most popular British bands of the post-Britpop era.

Led by outspoken frontman Crispian Mills, the band enjoyed great commercial success in the UK between 1996 and 1999, notching up a number of Top 10 hits on the UK Singles Chart, including "Tattva", "Hey Dude", "Govinda", "Hush", and "Sound of Drums". In addition, the band's debut album, K, reached #1 on the UK Albums Chart, becoming the fastest selling debut album in Britain since Oasis' Definitely Maybe.

The band are known for their interest in traditional Indian music, culture, and mysticism, with a number of their most famous songs, including "Tattva" and "Govinda", featuring lyrics written in the Hindu sacred language, Sanskrit. In addition, many of the band's songs feature traditional Indian instruments, such as the sitar, tamboura, and tabla, juxtaposed with guitar-heavy, Western rock instrumentation. While the band's interest in all things Indian was partly inspired by a pilgrimage to Indian that Mills undertook in the early 1990s, it was also born out of a love for the Indian influences present in the music of The Beatles and other late 1960s acts.

Kula Shaker disbanded in September 1999 but reformed in 2004 for sessions for the School of Braja compilation album. This led to plans for a full comeback, although the reformation was not widely publicised until the beginning of 2006. The band's third album, Strangefolk, was released in 2007.

On 28 June, they are releasing a new album called Pilgrim’s Progress, the band will be doing their first ever Asian tour and are set to perform in Kuala Lumpur.

The show is scheduled to be held on 5th August, at KL Live. Showtime is 8.00pm.
